I wonder the same thing. At work they only allow 1 station to be played in the break area on the TV. CNN.
I am sorry but I could care less what briteny spears is up to now.
The same goes for any hollywood celeb. They are actors. Not experts.
Johnny Depp has just given me yet another actor to boycott. Never liked his work anyway.
Great post snake.

I guess that in politics influence = power.
Since celebrities are famous, politicians and their spin doctors believe that celebreties must have lotsa power (= influence) over the American public.
I knew that politics was nothing more than a popularity contest.
I believe Depp, the media and this thread just prove my point?

But they were both voted into a heavily democratic state. Reagan turned out to be not such a bad president either, and noone really voted for Nancy. did they? The people of Cali voted Arnie in for another term. So who's more shallow here? The reps for running celebrities (who end up not being so bad) or the people of California for turning their backs on their democratic principles simply so they can have a famous governor.

So if you don't agree with the Bush administration, wearing a shirt with che G on it is a way to express this?? Hmmm, kind of seems silly to me. I also find it funny that some people would bring up 'brown shirts' GO figure. Lame tactics as usual.

Will we ever find a politician who is able to perfect the craft of public service the way that Depp has perfected the art of acting? Regan? No, he was acting.

Johnny Depp can wear whatever shirt he wants. The guy is ok in my book.
From: IDontLikeYouInThatWay.com: Johnny Depp is Generous
"Last March, Johnny Depp's 7 year old daughter, Lily-Rose, was in serious condition at a London hospital after E. coli poisoning caused her kidneys to fail. In the middle of filming Sweeney Todd when she fell ill, Depp abruptly left the production, effectively shutting it down for two weeks as he kept a constant vigil at her side. Yesterday, he paid a visit to the hospital again. With $2 million. The Daily Mail says:
Johnny Depp secretly visited Great Ormond Street Hospital yesterday to donate $2 million of his own money to thank staff for saving his daughter's life. He arrived unexpectedly at the London children's hospital where eight-year-old Lily-Rose was treated last year when her kidneys failed. Last week he invited five Great Ormond Street doctors and nurses to the party for the London premiere of his film Sweeney Todd. And on November 29, unknown to the public, Depp spent four hours at the hospital telling bedtime stories to patients dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow after having his Pirates Of The Caribbean costume flown over from Los Angeles."
