I think this thread and poll really shows that libs really do not care whether a president is an effective leader who takes the nation back to prosperity for its citizens- they just want Obama re-elected, regardless of what he does to the US. AMAZING.

PS- Not a Bush fan here. I also voted for Ross Perot (who incidentally, was right. Bush and Clinton were completely wrong, yet were laughing at Perot during the debates).

To "blame" one party for something they were both complicit on is dishonest.

I've often wondered why Liberals would continue to support Obama, when he has done nothing to reverse the trend of wealth consolidation at the very top. All the massive bailouts of Big Banking and Big Business would have made Bush proud, with not a penny allocated for the Middle Class or the poor. The stock market thrives, while the working class is lucky to have even a lousy-paying job. And instead of increasing taxes for the truly rich, or even the top of the working class at $250,000 a year, the tax system remains relatively the same.

Good thing Obama was elected! Otherwise...foreign wars; no that hasn't changed...the rich get richer; no, that's the same...the poor and the working class at least; no, they're still losing ground...where exactly did the "hope and change" occur? What is different now, except for the same problems being much worse?

Even Obamacare turned out to be a lock-in of the massive profits of Big Insurance, Big Pharma, and all the heavy players in the health care industry. And what did the average citizen get from Obamacare? Reduced prices, or even a hold on future increases? No, just the opposite. In addition to over a trillion dollars in NEW taxes for Obamacare, the average citizen got a government mandate that they had to BUY insurance at whatever cost the insurance companies set. And with all the new mandates on insurance coverage, like full mental health coverage, prices have already skyrocketed.

Obama criticized Bush, then followed exactly the same policies (except on steriods). I have great respect for those liberals who realize that they were promised one thing, but got the exact opposite.

Wow, 6 posts in and we're already seeing the race card. Gimme a break.

So, seeing as how it won't produce usable oil for years, don't you think it's a good idea to get started NOW?

it was the last budget the GOP approved in corrilation with bush. after that. Bush had to go through the left to get it approved. so its not only bush who was involved

Hawkeye just does not like blacks, Homosexuals,[ I read in a previous post his brother is gay and he seems to have a problem with it.] to name but a few things he loves to hate. People like him love to inflict suffering on others by means of mental abuse. I have read his posts and he is always talking about his mansion in Iowa and his Pain Clinic, and how much money he has and how smart he is and his big Nazi medal collection. He was linked to the user name Tom Hansen on the Whermacht forum where he was one of the collectors of Nazi war medals. He seems to have more than a fascination with history and more of an ideology sync with them. It show's in his posts how the hatred comes through. So this loaded post designed to be the "when did you stop beating your wife?" question is nothing more than that, gibberish.
