A few observations. We have an IHOP near us and never go there. It's too expensive even though the food is good, the service was hit or miss the few times we did go there( one waitress was nice, the other one was sullen and not too friendly). IHOP has a bad reputation for attracting lower class types that can't behave or act like civilized people. This is another video that proves that. The people involved were acting like animals and interfered with the officers. If there's a problem you shut up, back off and take pictures and let the police handle it. Why fight in a restaurant anyway? You deserve to have cops beat on you just for that.
Once again we heard very stupid guys laughing while taking the videos. Who wants to eat with knuckle draggers like that? Wimpy guys that get off on seeing woman fight and get beaten and then laugh like hyenas. LOSERS like at the Baltimore Mickey Ds.
I'm not even pro cop. I'm more than willing to come down hard on cops who overstep their bounds and don't act professionally. Its a high stress job and I think many cops lose it and should retire after 10 years. But they deal with absolute scum day after day and thats how you deal with scum. When they make a mistake and treat an undeserving person the same way, they have to be held accountable.
He didn't hit her that hard and she used extremely bad judgement. Would I have punched her? probably not. Pepper spray her in the eyes( maybe it being an enclosed indoor area prevented that), taser her, that was probably more justified. Race has absolutely no bearing on this case.

I live in Atlanta and I would say about 40% of the cops here are horrible people and make the other 60% look just as bad in the eyes of the public. I am actually afraid of cops here and would only call them in a life or death situation and go out of my way not to have to speak to them at all since they are all rude bastards IMO. I have met a couple nice ones but like I said the horrible cops mar the reputation of all the good ones. In other cities around the country I used to trust law enforcement a little more but they are just horrilbe here so it doesn't surprise me that something like this occurred. I don't see why he would not have just grabbed her and handcuffed her/arrest her since she was getting riled up, it did not have to escalate that far.
There was another situation here a few years ago where a black cop body slammed a white woman at the airport, I believe he did get in trouble for it. Not to far away from my house a 92 year old lady was shot to death by police officers, both black and white. Due to a lot of pressure all of them were convicted of different charges who were involved. A bunch of black cops right now are being sued in the Red Dog (elite drug unit that killed the 92 year old lady) by a bunch of black men for groping them, like grabbing their jewels and basically molesting them during unwarranted stops. The list goes on and on with the APD. I am black and if I weren't I still would be afraid of them. I actually am more afraid of the black cops since they are usually the most aggressive and mean, plus when they mistreat you lawyers won't take your case. I had a case against them for mistreatment as well and it was settled out of court but quite a few attorneys wouldn't take the case because the officer involved was black and me and my husband are also black.
