I wonder if there will ever be a lasting peace between Israel and the terrorists.

Fatah, the Palestinian political organisation, has reached an agreement with its rival Hamas on forming an interim government and fixing a date for a general election, Egyptian intelligence has said.

In February, Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority and a member of Fatah, called for presidential and legislative elections before September, in a move which was rejected by Hamas at the time.

"The consultations resulted in full understandings over all points of discussions, including setting up an interim agreement with specific tasks and to set a date for election," Egyptian intelligence said in a statement on Wednesday.

The deal, which took many officials by surprise, was thrashed out in Egypt and followed a series of secret meetings.

"The two sides signed initial letters on an agreement. All points of differences have been overcome," Taher Al-Nono, a Hamas government spokesman in Gaza, told the Reuters news agency.

Since Fatah is joining Hamas, who is listed as a terrorist organization, then they will lose their US & EU funding. And since we know that no Arab country has followed through on their pledges of funds they should be broke by years end.

But wait Egypt is stepping up to subsize them. Of course Egypt basically just killed a $10 Billion contract with Israel because they think they are owed $714 Million. They seem to have forgotten that their gas fields were privatized and are publically traded. But what does it matter they can easily find another nation who will lock into a contract and have to buy a certain amount of gas (not oil). They can just let it sit in the ground since Egypt is such a wealthy country. But wait there's more. Egypt wants to end its treaty with Israel. Great. The US can now put close to $2 Billion back into its savings account. Since they want to nullify the treaty than Israel can give Gaza back to the Egypt and let them deal with supplying them. Israel can close all crossings from Gaza.

But wait.......Since Gaza would go back to Egyptian control, does this mean for each rocket Gaza shoots into Israel, Israel can now shoot one into Cairo?
