Yes they do.

Why do recent black immigrants do well?
Why did Asian refugees do well?

"Doing well" is kind of a vague term to begin with, and "doing well" doesn't have to do just with how many opportunities you are presented. It has to do a lot with how much hard work you put in as well. A lot of people that are willing to migrate to another country are also the kind of people that are hungry for a bright future and willing to overcome very real obstacles that do make it harder for them to get past. Doing well doesn't prove the obstacles aren't there--it just proves the person was willing to put in the extra work to get over any hurdles.

So those who were already here and not doing well, aren't willing to put in the extra work to get over any hurdles???

Plus refugees are most of the time almost penniless, but still mangage to struggle and succeed.

Yeah, and that takes a LOT of hard work to start off penniless and succeed. Doesn't mean every successful person started off with the same opportunities. Some have to work harder than others to become successful.

I also didn't imply that all immigrants are penniless and all natives are not. There are native-born citizens who start off penniless and have to work their way up to where they are. My only point is that success is not a sole indicator of privilege. Success is an indicator of privilege OR hard work, and often, some degree of both.

Donald Trump is a guy with money who has stepped WAAAY out of his competency into the public arena and developed a bad case of hoof-and-mouth disease (can't stop putting the former in the latter) unfortunately for him, the grey matter that he has under that dead squirrel on the top of his head is not up to the task of public representation and he will continuously set himself up to fail at it. Fortunately for him, he has enough money to survive the tarnishing of his reputation that his ill-concieved fancies will produce.

Thank you for once again playing the race card.
Hmmm, complaining loudly when a food item is out or an order is put out wrong at a restaurant, butting into a queu line for a service station bathroom key...that's stuff Anglo tourists do in Puerto Rico...

Ah yes, Donald Trump. This election campaign's version of Sarah Palin. Who knows what will come out of his mouth next? Do you suppose he'll go as far as to call Africa a "country," or has he got a slightly better grasp of geography?
