That was 10 years ago. It is little more than a footnote in history now.

Well said, well said -- espicially for a liberal.

Bloomberg's anti-gun group Mayor's Against Illegal Guns put heavy pressure on Wal-Mart in the major metro areas. Wal-Mart conceded to that political pressure and saved face and likely court costs by being their poster child and starting a "responsibility program" which eliminated the sales of firearms and ammunition in major city-center stores.

Needless to say, Bloomberg's group is not very pleased about Wal-Mart's reversal of policy.

Well, judging by a good chunk of the clientele, Funny Pictures at WalMart, I would think guns would be a big seller. Probably the same reason they sell a lot of NASCAR memorabilia, cigarettes, and 30 packs of Busch. (except here in PA, no beer in Wal-Mart here...if Busch really qualifies as beer, that is...).

I just had an oil change there for 60 bucks! That's 4.00 over what the oil and filter costs. I got my card in the mail from the local brand store (Ford) and they wanted 100 as their special price.

That was easy.
