This might just unite Jews and Muslims for the first time in a long, long time.

San Francisco is a great place, but I cannot believe they do not have some serious issues to contemplate.

Move along. Nothing to see here.

It works better with foreskin.

That aside, why is it a "right" for parents to cut it off? I mean, I'd work just fine had my parents decided to cut of my nipples shortly after I was born. That doesn't mean they have, or should have, the right to do so. Does it?

I cannot believe it matters.

I guess if you're Jewish that procedure will have to take place in secrecy.

They're going to outlaw Mohelim?

Odd that the San Fransico population would want to possibly increase the spread of HIV and other STDs. Oh well, land of fruits and nuts, go figure.

There should be a law forbidding parents to physically modify their children in any unnatural and permanent fashion.

And if your parents hadn't made the CHOICE to procreate, you wouldn't be here at all, would you? Parents have the RIGHT to make some decisions that they feel are in the best interest of the child they created and will raise for 18 years.

I don't think its a good idea for parents to pierce their baby or young child's ears, yet we see it all the time and I am not on the bandwagon to outlaw it. There is a window of acceptable, debatable choices that parents make for their kids in all kinds of issues. What studies find "the best" for babies/children one decade is deemed "harmful" the next decade and then "safe & preferred" the next decade. In the end, most parents have the instincts to know what is in the best interest of their own children. This is America. They should have the right to act on those instincts & their own beliefs.
