Initial weekly unemployment claims increased to 412,000, a 27,000 increase in a week. Last week was revised up to 385,000, from 382,000. The 4 week moving average increased to 395,750. We're going backward, the wrong direction for job growth.
Know of any presidents who have been reelected with a 45% approval rating?
Obama himself (not an unnamed "White House official") said, from the beginning, that our leadership role in the operation would be limited to days, not weeks, not our overall role. He said it multiple times. You can spin it any way you want to try and validate your ideology, but it doesn't change the facts.
You should also learn the difference between week-to-week fluctuations in markets and overall trends. I know you want our nation to fail, but the reality is it's not. You should also know that the Tea Party, having been elected to power, now holds a large percentage of the responsibility for this economy that you wish to sputter and die.
There was a time when our nation had patriots like me who didn't get enthusiastic about bad economic news. Are there any other real Americans left in this country?

Your info is a bit out of date - initial claims for the latest week are 429K, with the moving average back above 400K. And 1.8% GDP growth isn't enough to absorb new entrants into the labor force, much less make a dent in the 12M unemployed. But of course Obama can't let himself be distracted by such trivial concerns...
