As a black man, it saddens me to say this. But Barack has blown it for future black candidates.......
After this grand experience, I believe many white indepedents will never vote for another black man as President....Democrat or GOP!
White folks are getting tired of being called racist whenever the other side can't come up with answers to issues or questions concerning this man or if they dislike his policies!! Did we not have people asking about Bush's grades? His military service? Dan Rather lost his gig trying to fake Bush's service record! Was that racist??? No! It was stupid! If Bush was black, would it be racist then? NO!
AND THESE ARE WHITE PEOPLE THAT VOTED FOR HIM!!!
I honestly believe that many would rather have a white guy they can criticize without the friggin' race card being played! I think there's a lot of buyer remorse out there.
We are so polarized right now! I've never seen it this bad in my life time.

From day one I believed Obama being elected was a conspiracy. See they knew the country was in trouble so they were like "you know what? lets put a black guy in charge. There's no way he can fix it and by the time his term is over things will be so bad we can slide anybody in there and beat him. Then we'll clean everything up and tell them 'see this is what happens when we let one of you run things" They set us up

I think it had more to do with them knowing the economy was going to crash and when it did people of all races would unite as a movement against the US government for being pawns in real power players (The banks the 1%) game.
People of all races have been indoctrinated by the media into believing that whenever whites are on TV protesting its BS because whites can't and don't struggle because all we see on TV all day is white millionaires in perfect neighborhoods.
On the other hand we have been indoctrinated into believe all blacks have terrible lives an whenever they protest there is a just cause because all we see on TV is blacks living in abject poverty.
So Obama was elected to neutralize the blacks so they wouldn't protest, so when the whites formed to protest it would cause animosity between the two groups and they would never be able to come together to form a movement against the government crooks.
Change was the con, race was the gimmick, and power and trillions of dollars was the payoff. It worked perfectly.

As a white woman, I think you are being overly dramatic here. Most folks do not attribute Obama's incompetence with his race. Even though he has been a disappointment for many that voted for him, I do believe that his winning the election for president has crossed over barriers and opened doors for future candidates of color.
