Wouldn't doing this work towards ending the obesity epidemic in the United States? I don't believe anything is more harmful than buffet style restaurants. If we banned them like the once legal to promote "Happy Hour" we might take the first step in the fight against fat.
Sure why not. The non obese folks will just have to do without any buffet style restaurants because of obese people.
Another one with "I know what's good for you" proposals.
Why go after everyone ? Just go after the obese people instead.
The thread was started 4 years ago and I bet OP is still paying attention to see how people respond to his rediculous idea. Since when are buffets responsible for people being fat. People are responsible for what they do and eat. Yes, a lot of fat people eat buffets, we have all seen them, a lot thin people like them as well. I guess libs think banning is the way to make a point, how about letting all of us live the way we want, as long as we are not breaking the law. If we want to kill ourselves, eating what we enjoy, just think of all the money we will save some of you because we will not be collecting ss as long. Of course, maybe those of you who are worried about us being too fat, need to see how many people fat or thin are living into their late 80s and 90s?
Why can't people just respect other peoples decisions? If I want to do something unhealthy, I'm perfectly fine living with the potential concequences. Nobody forces you into a buffet and I don't want anyone to force us to stay away.
Everyone who wants to ban anything should be sent to their own island. See how long you think its OK to ban buffets when someone says we should ban everything else
Great. Then you would have a buffet full of fat pervs.
This would be gross! I do have to say, when I attended the Fair watching very overweight people eating cotton candy, soda pop and all other sugar items, I drink water. I go there for the cotton candy and this automatically makes me not eat all day. HealthCare is not going to stop people from consuming too much to eat. I am amazed at the amount of food some people can put on those plates.
If one can work it off, pile it on, if not portion control is what the First lady should talk about.
Obesity is yet another way the Chinese are crushing us.
35% of Americans are obese. Less than 3% in China.
Who's going to live longer? Who's going to be more active and have more energy? Who's going to have more medical problems and expenses?
We could change it. Will we?
Yet, how many Americans want to be unemployed and do drugs of any kind. I am not against either of these, but they do not make for a productive society. These people are like the "Little Red Hen" story. Everyone should know this story.......
