Tell that to all the people who called my mixed wife black. The reality is that people see her as black because she looks black. They don't know or care about her Spanish European lineage or her Puerto Rican grandfather or her Native American ancestors. That's the one drop rule in action today.

Of course people go by how someone looks because there is no "black" dna, nor "white" dna. It's how someone looks. That's all it is.
The biggest problem is that Obama acknowledges only his black ancestry but that's also not his American ancestry. That's probably why he has no real love of the American people of any race. He wasn't brought up in this country, he believes himself to be more a part of his family in Kenya.
He has no American roots period. He doesn't acknowledge his white family which was his only American family and he isn't descended from black slaves to have those American roots.

You are choosing to disrespect half or more of any person's heritage. Not only that, but you seem to have motive for perpetuating it indefinitely by starting threads like this.

obama was brought up in Hawaii, which IS part of this country.

People were so busy looking at Obama's color, they didn't see Obama. That's how he got elected President in the first place. No one thought to look at his Senate votes, or who the man kept as friends. Now that we have him, what on earth are we going to do with him? I suspect we will keep him for another four years of talk about race and how screwed up the people in this country really are....
