Obama should put on a flight suit and hang a "Mission Accomplished" banner.

Most objective obsevers have been struck by the level of continuation of Bush polices Obama has maintained in regards to counterterrorism. However describing it as riding coattails is counterproductive. Obama was engaged in several high level meetings and authorized the final order.

It really is sad how the Left and Right is marring what is a great accomplishment of our Special Forces and Intelligence community with their sniping.

Talking Shocking!

What's ironic is obama and the Left railed and gnashed teeth about the very same programs and intelligence gathering techniques that led to the death of UBL. Of course, they only did that when Bush was in office. The minute obama took over, the railing and gnashing of teeth went by the wayside.

Hypocrisy at it's finest.

Obama haters spin ways to credit Bush.

Exactly!

It sickens me to see American's at each other throat over something so petty as who to give credit to. Any President after Bush has and would have an obligation is capture or kill Bin Laden if it didn't happen now. Even if that meant 20 more years down the road. The world could have been at peace yet CIA would still be looking of him.

The only real people who are deep down inside taking any credit and hopefully with humility are the ones who executed the mission, went in, shot him and brought the body out. The day those brave persons names are recognized may not be for some time due to classification.

Never-the-less it's truly sad the bickering Americans are having with each other over the way another American practices Democracy.

Just another Bush administration mess that was left for the Obama administration to clean up.

I feel sorry for you and for people whose brains maintain the mentality that would direct thought to produce such a post as above.

Really, all anyone can do is feel sorry for them.

Bush got this thing in motion.

The left can't honestly say that if this were to happen while one of their's was in office we would have responded. After all, look what happened when St. Clinton was in office and the 93 bombing happened. A big fat nothing.
You might want to look at the link I posted about the conviction of the 93 bombing criminal.
If you repeat a lie often enough, guess what, it's still a lie.

Here's a link to my post no. 59 in this thread.

I am saying that you've demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge about US foreign policy in the 1990s and that your time would be better spent reading about it, not posting about it.

Obama just happened to be at the right place (president's seat) at the right time (now).

How easily some forget he wanted to CLOSE Guantanamo in 2009 and stop interrogation of the prisoners. http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2009/01/obama_orders_gu.html

UBL was killed as a direct result of intelligence (tips) from a Guantanamo captive. Good thing Obama didn't get his way in 2009. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3558928/Osama-bin-Laden-dead.html
