I think there are alot of people with exactly those sentiments. Gay marriage is imposing one's personal views on the majority. Acceptance of civil unions and gays raising kids is just "live and let live".
Civil unions offer none of the federal benefits of marriage, and if, heaven forbid, you have to move to a less accepting state, what happens?
We need marriage at the federal level, end of story. I don't see how that's pushing my personal views. It's a fact of law that until that happens our relationships are part of a "less than" institution.
12 kids? omg I would pull my hair out... kudos to them...
there's something great about someone that can take on something that isn't theirs and make it their own and love unconditionally. Having your own children is the norm.. taking on other people's children as your own.. not to mention 12 is amazing really...there's a special place in heaven for those kinds of people if there is a heaven.. just sayin
I am old enough to remember way back in 1977 when Anita Bryant and her allies succeeded in overturning Miami-Dade County's Non-discrimination law against gay people. Shortly thereafter the reactionary Florida state legislators in Tallahassee passed a law to make it illegal for gays to become adoptive or foster parents. I think there have been a couple of successful legal challenges to that law ... but I am not sure if it is still in effect.
you need to do your homework. Our law was overturned a few months ago, keep up with the news would you...??

Well that's good to hear. At least we know how the people of Arkansas really felt on the subject.
