Yeah Yeah....the Nation is on an adrenaline high now that Bin Laden has been killed. The Liberals are certain that their Messiah is "untouchable" and will be reelected in 2012.

What do you think?

Will this help his reelection goals or is it a short lived boost? When the reality of the OTHER problems our nation has become center stage again (and they will), will people forget or not care and be concerned more about the economy, unemployment, border security, healthcare, etc.

This is just temporary.

Just as the American people have forgotten Bush ousted the evil dictator Saddam Hussein & his two sons from power who funded terrorism & mass murdered hundreds of thousands of their own people.

Just as the American people have forgotten it was Bush who got Bin Ladden's right hand man whom carried out the 9/11 attacks where 3,000 American lives were lost that day & was the single largest attack on US soil in our history.

There are NUMEROUS threads about this..you're not saying much, just repeating stuff that has already been stated in previous threads..

Todays news pretty much guarantees Obama a second term

If Obama wins in 2012 and the GOP takes the senate.

So who is gonna challenge Obama in 2012 now that he's untouchable

2012 is too far away, and the bin Ladin's death doesn't have a video clip that can be played nonstop, like 9/11 ad Saddam's capture was used for Bush.

I think it will. Some might say that only an idiot would give complete credit for the killing of OBL to the President, and that only an idiot would use the killing of OBL as a gauge for a President's success.

And I'd say to that: welcome to the average voter.

Are you just starting this thread to reassure yourself that Obama's feat of nailing bin Laden doesn't really amount to anything? LOL...Okay, so what do you want to hear? "Don't worry, Obama will lose reelection". There. Feel better now?

It's fun to watch the Obama haters flailing and gnashing their teeth over Obama's latest caper. Obama 2012!

No, it certainly does not. However, if a ham sandwich was running against Trump or Palin...it would win.

I hope that irony tells people a little about the competition, which is just sad.

It certainly didn't hurt. Of course, George H W Bush defeated Iraq in the first Gulf War and that didn't get him re-elected. It all comes down to the economy. Lotta things can happen in a year and a half.

Of course not. If this had happened 3 months before the election, possibly. But 19 months out? No way.

It will be about the economy, gas prices, debt, deficit, spending, jobs, as it should be.

Remember GHWB? After the 1st Gulf war, he had ratings in the 70%s...less than a year later, he loses to Clinton - "it's the economy, stupid".

He'll get a nice bump in the polls, no doubt.

But I can't see this having much impact when gas is @ $5-6/gal.

I think the news of bin Laden's death could possibly have been what put Obama over the top...provided it came about two weeks before the election. The beginning of May, 2011? It won't even be on the media's radar by November, 2012.

What will guarantee his re-election, though, is the pool from which the Republican opposition seems to draw.
