At least if they nominated Bachmann, they'd be truer to their word than nominating some overtanned Washington dinosaur who is nothing like what he pretends to be. Besides, crazy is in fashion in the Republican party. Since when have they cared about craziness? In fact, the more nutty they sound, the more popular they are in those circles.

Need proof? Hell, round up 10 Repub congressmen and try to get them to say that the birther movement is stupid....in those words.

All the angry bluster over bailouts and TARP... so the angry mobs elected a new House leadership that was all but certain to elected John "I voted for the bailouts and I voted for TARP, too!" Boehner to lead that House.

And now the same angry mobs are stunned that John Boehner isn't John Galt himself!

Of course, you're talking about the same group of lunatics who are moronically obsessed with inane birth certificate conspiracies...
