Everyone! Obama has shown these photos to members of the House and Senate. If you want verification, contact your Senator or Congressman.
Obama is protecting innocent people in harms way by withholding the release of these photos to the public. Remember the effect from that loon who burned the Koran and posted a video of such online?
If these photos were released, they would be all over the internet putting our troops and innocent people at risk. Get your thrills some other way. Get the "proof" you need from your Congressman.
Do you know who, if anyone, was killed the other day? Have solid proof?
Lets see, US deaths in Obama's resolution to BinLaden, zero. US deaths in Obama's process of dealing with Ghaddafi thus far, zero. US deaths in the Bush Wars, 6,000 plus and counting. Hmmmm....Now, there's a Picture.
I took his word for what happened Sunday and don't think that he made a mistake this time. Yes, many will continue to howl about the holding of the photos but I don't think it was wrong to not do it.
You're right, Osama didn't sign a Press Release and after all if Terrorists deserve Miranda Rights then it only goes to show............

The unidentified body of a man is seen after a raid by U.S. Navy SEAL commandos on the compound where al Qaeda leader bin Laden was killed in Abbottabad (http://ca.news.yahoo.com/photos/unidentified-body-man-seen-raid-u-navy-seal-photo-195008698.html - broken link)
Just because someone was killed does NOT mean it proves that it was Osama. Pak is right to be upset at the usurping of their sovereignty, regardless who was killed.
Pak is upset? What statement has the government provided to debunk the claims?
Quote:
Even if noone was actually killed, the Pak masses are upset at the global portrayel of the usurping of their sovereignty.
Pak masses are upset, and so are a lot of Americans (see this thread for example). They have the right to be upset for a HUGE turn of events on their soil. All that for a lie?

I agree. And it's probable that the decision not to release the photos at this time was based on information from U.S. Intelligence that the average forum poster doesn't have access to.

AND...US deaths in Afg. since Obama took over?
