Now that is funy when you really look at the history of the world even to europe. They were so drunk they continously fought in a civil war for centruies. It culmated with WWI and WWII. But of course ;they fought for control of the resources until they bascially destroyed their own world. Lookig at even much of the world today the US is really doing little of the fighting or dying. But of course we will bite when attacked. We do not want to repeat what western europoe failed to do with Hitler early on when he could have easily beeen defeat and istead ended up a world war with millions of deaths. But I guess the Op thinks the world is very peaceful except for US. Barnum was right.

There hasn't been one since around the 1930's in Europe. That was the last time we saw it on the level we do today. Even the hated Soviet Union did not have the lust for war we have in the U.S.

Funny, I'd say the same of you. And have.

By the way, if you have a better example over the past 80 years, please share with the rest of us. If you do not, then you have nothing to contribute.

I do, thanks for asking...

Instances of Use of United States Armed Forces Abroad, 1798 - 2004

Time to move... (don't waste any precious time on my part)

Go find another country, the country you think you live in doesn't exist.

If you are a student of history, you'll know that ALL militaristic empires end when the economy collapses under the cost of endlessly waging wars. Instead of leaders realizing that something must change to stop the catastrophic collapse of the economy, and the currency, they continue waging wars and siphoning off the money desperately needed to keep the nation functioning.

It's happened a thousand times. Ron Paul says exactly this in his speeches. If we were ALLOWED to choose such a Libertarian by the political machine (not likely), and if enough people had enough sense to vote for the Libertarian (odds unknown), we could turn America off the path of quick decline and inevitable collapse to Third World status.

The odds are not in our favor. WE have to stop the people in power in Washington right now (by replacing them), and since the Federal Government has confiscated almost all the power in the nation, it would take a full-scale revolt demanding a Libertarian on the ballot just to start down the road to reform. But we aren't starving yet, and it may take that much suffering to snap people out of their fantasies that "Government is here to help."

Unfortunately, by the time we've all traded our weapons and precious metals and tools for food when hyperinflation hits and a dollar is worth a penny or less, we won't be ABLE to effect change. It will be too late.

Unfortunately the European bankers and their partners in the U.S. like the Rockefellers, want to collapse the U.S. This is our "punishment" for breaking away from London and forcing out the British monarchy. The Fed is owned by the European bankers and particularly the British Crown. Or goes the theory anyway. To what extent? I don't know, but I know our Fed is NOT owned wholly by Americans

If that was the only reason I'd engage in that debate.
