Going to the DMV is bad enough without having someone else's beliefs shoved down your throat while you're waiting in line.

I wonder how this preacher would feel about someone standing outside his church, preaching about a competing religion?

What's the issue here? If I trespassed and then harassed a captive audience, I'd expect arrest as a possible outcome.

After thinking about it, I've changed my stance. The preacher saw people literally lining up at the gates of hell and acted accordingly.

Maybe next time they could light some candles, hold hands and pray that the DMV's computers stay up. Maybe even some garlic and holly water to ward of the walking dead (DMV clerks).

I always knew the DMV was out to steal your soul and now I have proof.

“The whole thing is, when you go to the DMV, you are not allowed to do any other business,” Soubirous told the Banning-Beaumont Patch. He said a permit is required on state property for anything other than the intended business.

When Mark Mackey, a member of the local Calvary Chapel, showed up to the DMV office in Hemet, CA on February 2, he had a goal: read the Bible and introduce those waiting in line to the “gospel of Jesus Christ.”

“We would have granted them a permit to go out and preach,” Soubirous explained.
I see no problem with the arrest and I would have politely asked him to stop reading aloud.

Why do people constantly have to challenge and harass people in public with their religion?

I wouldn't want it done if they were Muslim, or Jewish either.
