Once again, the [childish] "compromise = defeat" mentality that is ruining the democratic process rears its ugly head.
"Childish" and "ugly" -- more maturity. How quaint.
Let me repeat what I already outlined, I thought quite clearly, in Post #17:

I explain it as political expediency. This isn't compromise for the sake of compromise. This is taking a hard line, stubbornly sticking to it until you're smacked with an unexpected backlash from within your own constituency, then deciding to drop the whole thing. Hardly. This win is precisely what we think is best for the most people and best for where our country is heading. The destruction of Medicare would have been the worst possible thing for many aspects of our country. Being grateful for a win on this issue is hardly "3rd grade". "Demwits" with "little heads". That's not 3rd grade, oh no.
P.S. We're not broke. That's a convenient lie you've been told and willingly believed. Exactly. Hope you don't get your hopes up too high. Exactly the response that was expected. I'd hardly say that's a failure for the thread, but a failure for the participants.
The participants don't seem to agree with you on that.
The demwits will never be able to wrap their little heads around the fact that this country is BROKE - we have no money. Their idea of constantly milking the 'rich' is not going to keep their mass entitlement programs running.
If we're so BROKE then why don't we start by repealing those billions in tax dollars we give free and clear to big oil? Or are we supposed to ignore that because it would be "milking the rich"?

Why don't you ask your president and his administration that question?
Why you are at it, why don't you ask why 'milking' people whom are making 250,000 a year by deeming them ridiculously 'rich' is a good thing?
And btw....writing all in bold is kinda obnoxious. Just saying.
why WOULDN'T they want to reprom medicare/ciad which is BROKEN
or cant the fascist liberals get past the entitlment mentality
