Awful, when will the left admit Obama's policies don't work. This job growth isn't enough to lower ue. We would need 335,000 per month for 4 years to get down to structural unemployment rate. This stinks.

Apparently some don't understand the meaning of the term, "net gain". Oh well, what can you say?

Oh I understand.
Can you tell me what is incorrect about my statement?

From the CNN report:

"The unemployment rate edged up to 9.0%, ending a streak of four straight months of declines. The rate often increases as the job market improves and previously discouraged workers return to labor force. Economists had forecast it would remain unchanged at 8.8%."

Now, I don't pretend to be an expert in economics, etc. Seems strange to me that we add jobs, yet the unemployment rate goes up. I guess that 'discouraged workers' who are NOT actively looking for a job are not counted, but if they say "I am no longer discourged, I am looking for a job" then they ARE counted.

Anyway, since most of the yappers on C-D are on disability ("My back! I'm Depressed!"), it does not matter to them. They have plenty of leisure time to google, argue, etc.

These are poor numbers for this "recovery" that we keep hearing about, but never actually see. We need to be adding 500k jobs and a growth of 5%, and we are thrilled to get 2% growth and 250k jobs. It's like treading water in an ocean storm, and getting excited because only two sharks are circling us, and we only swallowed three gulps of sea water instead of five.
