what do you think are the differences?

I live in Southern California, San Diego to be exact and the city itsself is more moderate but lean liberal, the county is still conservative(though it is becoming more liberal little by little). I have noticed that here and all over the west coast the type of liberals here are more socially liberal (weed, gay marriage) and very strong with the environment and healthy eating. They also question the government and other authorities a lot. We also tend to love diversity of culture and thought too. on and lots of atheists and agnostics too.

I haven't spent much time in the East Coast. All I know from my experience is everyone is really fast paced.

I think that East Coast liberals look more deeply into why things are the way they are than West Coast liberals. East Coasters are more academic, more political, and more partisan in their liberalism. West Coast liberalism is more a way of life than a movement or ideology. It's almost like the East Coasters are the parents of the West Coasters. East Coasters concoct the ideas and get the ball rolling while the West Coasters put those ideas into practice and into their daily lives. I may be completely off, I don't know. I'm a mostly liberal from the center of the country. I have no explanation for why I am this way or how I differ from the two coasts.

Doesn't seem to be much difference...

I find East Coast liberals tend to be Lexus Liberals.

e: They are a dime a dozen in the DC area, funny enough.
