Just last month the U.S. sent two Air force cargo planes to help Mexico battle back wildfires in the northern part of it's country, fires that burned 386 square miles. It's a move that West Texas Congressman Francisco Canseco (R-Fort Stockton) thinks is a hypocritical one by the Obama administration as Texas has requested the same sort of federal aid but has been denied it.
The President of Mexico has never failed to take money proffered by the administration and the Governor of Texas did that more than once. Obama was getting even with him and the residents of Texas.
Rather than a C-130 let them honor the request for disaster declaration.
It's not the money Texas wants but the ability to grant low interest loans based on the declaration.
It would help with the rebuilding and help the individuals that lost everything in the fires.

Perry said "No" to the two handouts with strings attached.
-The unemployment that required states to support unemployment for P/T workers and change their state rules
-The education money that required handing over curriculum definition to the Fed.
Texas was not the only state that said "No" to those two loaded fed handouts.

I seem to recall a topic posted by a leftist that a Democrat is gonna scoop up Kay Bailey-Hutchinson's seat in 2012. Looks like the small chance that had just evaporated

I had to rep this reply and then tell you that you are completely right and some of us outside Texas know it. Perry did, however, fail to meet the Bummer when he came to Texas to make some kind of speech and he has to get even with him.

But recall that when Perry did meet with him on a previous trip all he got was a handshake and got sent to Obama's "assistant".
This was August 2010.
Obama Snubs Rick Perry s Letter :: U4Prez, Social Networking For Politics
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry's meeting at the Austin airport with President Barack Obama on border security lasted a mere 34 seconds, and Perry had to hand a letter on the issue to presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett because Obama declined to personally accept it.
Obama makes sure all funding or help for anything only goes to areas that are heavily demcracks or of course countries who are sending the US their diseases, drugs and criminals.
He wont help Texas because it is doing well under a Rep leader and he is doing everything he can to screw that up.
Again, another Obama MISTAKE and poor decision.
This is an every day thing for Obama.
The mistake a day dunce. Wonder what he will get for sending help to Mexico in return?
I might be a failure in life, but I am still a winner because I didn't vote for that S.O.B in the White House.
