What a horrible story! The deranged uncle and his companions will hopefully be prosecuted and judged as harshly as they judged Ayah. Let this be one more blow to the obscenity that is patriarchy; it's proven to be lethal for women and children. Maybe then American Christians would end their adherence to the Old Testament and embrace the message of Christ, who loved Mary Magdalene and included her as an apostle, equal to the men.

Of the millions of American Christians, how many have you heard of recently who murdered a family because of perceived blot on the family honor. Your mention of the patriarchal system of Islam in one sentence and of American Christians who "adhere to the Old Testament" in the following sentence makes no sense.
