The effort by liberal media watchdog group Media Matters to convince half a dozen leading national advertisers to pull their dollars from the Fox News Channel got a high-profile snub Thursday when Orbitz, the travel company, not only declined to participate, but fired back at Media Matters, calling the “Drop Fox” campaign a “smear effort.”
But Orbitz shot back, describing Media Matters as “a political organization that has been funded pretty extensively to go after one network, and we aren’t going to engage in that fight,” Orbitz spokesman Brian Hoyt told The Hollywood Reporter:
Yep, that's their mission statement - to go after Fox.
But...how's that been working the last few years, as Fox's rating soar in the #1 spot?
Media Matters employs 90 people who search for right-wing "misinformation" in the news, and their focus has increasingly been on Fox News. In 2008, about 33% of its research efforts were dedicated to Fox News, while nowadays it's 55%, and look for that to grow with the launch of DropFox.com.
Imagine that - leftists all about silencing free speech and diversity of opinions.
When WILL the leftists get it that they represent a FRINGE minority of the population?
Soros and media matters already won, they got Beck fired.
I'm sure he's ready to file for unemployment. Could the left be more idiotic? Glen Beck owns the left, owns their thoughts, controls their hate and clearly controls their happiness. The left has an entire smear based company that does nothing but work to spew hate about Fox and Fox still has higher ratings than any left wing media outlet around. 90 people working full time and the target of their hate is still doing better than anyone they support, yeah they won for sure.
orbitz told 'em to go get stuffed. good for orbitz
Exactly, I'm a very proud Orbitz for Business customer and I didn't even know this but I support them even more now.
