I get so sick of government waste especially at a time that most are making cuts. I know many agencies have been cut to nearly bare bones but obviously the CDC is not one of them: CDC Recommends Preparing for All Disasters -- Even Zombies - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ac/20110518/us_ac/8495307_cdc_recommends_preparing_for_all_disasters __even_zombies - broken link)
From your link:
"..hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and earthquakes.."
I thought the CDC was about "diseases" ? I mean their name is Center for Disease Control.
Now they are worrying about emergency management ? Wouldn't that be FEMA ?
I guess if you cross the line and start doing other work, you'll get funded and add more to your staff. Hey, why not. It's only government money; we can always just print more if we need it.
It's really a clever way to get people to actually
read a generic emergency preparedness plan.
When you put it that way..yeah I agree.
I am so surprised at how many people I know that have nothing in the way of preparedness. They all think they'll just "run out to the store".
