How did he get in in the first place? Doesn't she have an alarm system? After all, that's in the Atlanta metropolitan area, right?

Also, shooting someone from 30' away is going to get you in an awful lot of trouble. How can you justify using deadly force at that distance? Unless the other person is shooting at you it would be very difficult to say that you were in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death from someone 30' away from you. Most self defense shootings take place at distances of around 6 feet.
It's about shot placement...not "how big" the round is.....

I'm 5' 10" 200 lbs....and if that all I had, a .22 would be great....

The gun does absolutely nothing if they cannot keep the gun in their hand because the kick is so bad....

Shot placement out does everything....including caliber....

"I shot him as much as I could" sounds strange to me by the way Almost like an excuse for not having done more than that

Why?

Got the job done, didn't it?

Not everyone can be a big gun-totin' he-man Eastwood wannabee....nor do intelligent people want to be.

I think some big he-man Eastwood wannabees are just sore that she got the job done with her little "non-lethal" "toy" gun.

If 22's are so harmless let's give them to 5 year olds for Christmas! What a great safe little toy!! YOUR kids first!!!!

She's a lot more accurate with her .22 up to about 30', I'm well aware of the details behind person defense. I'd be a lot more scared of her with a .22 at 30' than of her with a .40 or .45 at 6'.

Shocking. Should have shot him in the leg and allowed him to be arrested. This is, after all, a country of laws.
