There seems to be a universal sentiment among liberals that no entitlements should be cut, despite our debt and deficit problems. In fact nearly every liberal is emphatic that medicare, social security, and medicaid should not be cut at all and simply blame George Bush for fiscal problems. Blame- but no answers.
Should we just keep all entitlements the way they are and let anarchy eventualy unfold? Keep in mind that we could balance the budget if we taxed the rich at 100% (slavery) and we cut the military 100%, which some liberals have actually suggested.
Any solutions, or just blame?
We could let those tax cuts expire. That'd solve half our problems.
you aren't obliged to like it
but that doesn't change the fundamental truth of it
There is a chance that you need to look at the favorite place for money when these people need some. The PRINTING PRESSES of the Federal Board is a real favorite of the Obamaites.
Year: 2001
GDP: $12,950 Billion
Total Tax Receipts: $2,529 Billion
Total Spending: 2,366 Billion
Total Military Spending: $465 Billion
Military Spending is 19.6% of the total budget and 3.6% of the GDP
Year: 2011
GDP: $14,200 Billion
Total Tax Receipts: $2,173 Billion
Total Spending: $3,834 Billion
Total Military Spending: $929 Billion
Military Spending is 24.2% of the total budget and 6.5% of the GDP.
Comparing the numbers...
GDP has grown by 9.6% (+$1,250 Billion)
Tax receipts has reduced by about 15% (-$356 Billion)
Spending has increased by 62% (+$1,468 Billion)
Military Spending has increased by 100% (+464 Billion)
Nearly a third of total spending increase is due to spending on military.
Is anyone mindless enough to believe that spending of that magnitude could be a good thing? If so, explain why the crash of 29 to the early 30s was only a modest recession in other industrial countries, and was over in a fairly short period of time. FDRs policies extended the pain for nearly a decade. Much like GWBs and BOs.

Well hell then we could settle the whole thing by raising the taxes on those wealth people to 100%. I guess the libs who suggest that must all be right. Right?

There is no "sane" ground for you? It is either 0 or 100?
