Are you actually suggesting a multi million worker visa program?
Actually, it would be a multi-billion worker capable, work visa program that generates revenue from each and every work visa. We could be generating revenue to fund unemployment insurance for native US labor, on the same at-will basis as employment relationships. What is wrong with Commerce that is well regulated among the several States?
What "constitutional government"?
Senate Report 93-549
War and Emergency Powers Acts
"A majority of the people of the United States have lived all of their lives under emergency rule. For 40 years (as of the report 1933-1973), freedoms and governmental procedures guaranteed by the Constitution have, in varying degrees, been abridged by laws brought into force by states of national emergency."
Because they are not forced to by "We the People".
I will freely admit that I was as guilty as the next person when it comes to ignorance of the Constitution, but over the last few years, I've increased my knowledge about it 100 fold.
I will not stand for unconstitutional behavior by politicians any longer.
Regulating forms of Commerce is a specifically enumerated power delegated to our federal Congress. We could be lowering our tax burden by simply bearing true witness to our own supreme law of the land.

Well that was interesting...
The president, at his discretion, has the authority to grant himself the ability to control every single aspect of the nation.
Whenever I'm stopped for speeding or something, I'm asked to "show my papers".
If I don't provide my license, registration and insurance card, my car is impounded.
Flimsy argument.
BTW....please, do tell how the 4th amendment guarantees illegal immigrant rights.
I think that old Savoir saw something about Indiana allowing police to search without warrants and knew about how the airwaves and wires are copied by the NSA and just threw all of that together and let fly.
Americans HAVE to give up their privacy so that our government can catch terrorists.
It's that plain and simple.
Your life will become an open book on servers all over the world for anyone to look at.
And as the left says.."If you're not doing anything wrong then you have nothing to worry about."
Well it may not be wrong today..but what if they decide it's wrong tomorrow ?
Do you remember when we of the right used to tell the lefties that if they weren't doing anything wrong the NSA wouldn't hurt them? It sounds like they have come 180 degrees with everything just as MOgal suggested a couple of posts back. Ain't funny the way that works?
Public policy choices could be more market friendly and engage in Commerce that is well regulated, instead of simply resorting to the coercive use of force of the State through more arbitrary command economics.
A market friendly work visa could end our illegal problem on a permant basis throught the use of Commerce that is Regulated among the several States.
Why doesn't our government follow the Constitution?
The Constitution stands in the way of those who want to govern by coercion so that makes it an old paper not worth anything to them. I wonder how many of them will finally find out what it really was once it is gone and government is in complete control of their lives.
