Yes he is this stupid. The man has an ego the size of the USA. He thinks he simply can get away with anything. His account wasn't hacked and Twitter never told him it was. The host provider wouldn't even know if it was hacked by using the real password. The only way they would really know it was hacked was if the hacker gained access through a known vulnerability. In that case, Twitter would have all the evidence needed.

Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

Oh my...so his strategy is to refuse to answer any questions, including on WHY he hasn't contacted the authorities.

The problem is his STATEMENTS don't answer any of the questions.

He's NOT convinced whether telling us it's a "hack" or a "prank".

He has indeed changed his allegation of the incident. If it's a hack, the authorities should be involved, if it's a "prank", HIS private investigators can handle it......behind the scenes.

So it looks as if Rep Weiner has decided he will NOT come clean and would like people to just move on.

I just have to ask - is any of the above video indicative of an innocent man?

If he's not guilty there wouldn't be anything for him to "come clean" about would there and who wouldn't want people to "just move on" in his situation---guilty or not. But he's naive if he thinks Republican right wing blogs and talk radio are going to let that happen. Nor will the late night comics come tonight.

Rush Limbaugh speaks about the incident..... "Hard to shallow," he says.

Right wingers who are losing it as they are looking to get slaughtered at the polls in 2012. Dirty tricks and desperation attempts are nothing new to them.

I guess you have a short memory. The Dems had a field day with Craig tapping his foot didn't they?

According to Weiner, a crime has been committed - wouldn't the logical next step be to call the police in?

Do notice none of his accounts had any downtime, which would be NORMAL if there was truly a hack. All of his accounts are verified and have remained online and accessible, even though they were all hacked?

Come on, looking at all the evidence, circumstantial and otherwise, you HAVE to admit he looks guilty as sin. But if not, just insert a republican instead of a liberal democrat and ask yourself the question again. I can BET the answer would not be the same.

Come to think of it, isn’t it odd in all that tweeting, there was a single “hack” — sent to one of the 90 people Weiner “follows” on Twitter — and nearly immediately deleted? And after the incident, not a care in the world.
