We don't have to balance anything; soon Jesus will return and make everything okay.

You make think cutting your own benefits is somehow beneficial to your family but most American aren't that crazy....thankfully.

Most of those services are unconstituational overreaches of our federal government. Luckily we are a Republic and what the majority of the American people think should have no bearing on the rule of law.

Add in taxes, you will agree with the Dems.

I fully understand that we can't spend more than we take in.

That's why part of what I propose to do is "take more" in.

Why you must worship those who's incomes exceed $250K per year is mind boggling. The increases proposed in raising their tax rates are mild.

All raising taxes does is encourage more spending. It doesn't matter, partisanship is crippling this country because people have their heels dug in and their pride sewn into their political views. This will all come crashing down soon.

Interesting...where did you get your Law Degree from?

Cause every supreme court justice and the leaders in the rest of the branches disagree with you.

Here are my exact choices.

Budget Puzzle: You Fix the Budget - Interactive Feature - NYTimes.com

Is anybody tired of uninformed right wingers thinking they're so "serious" and lecturing the rest of us on how we should cut our middle class benefits?
How does decreasing revenue balance the budget? Increasing tax rates decreases revenue, that's a fact. In order to balance the budget, revenue must be increased which is attained through tax cuts. Additionally we have to cut social welfare spending before we touch defense. Welfare spending is unconstitutional and is redistribution of wealth and private property. We can certainly cut from defense but we have to nip social security, medicare and medicaid in the bud first. They're the primary contributors to the deficit, not defense spending.

Eliminate the education department. Discontinue all federal subsidies to students and institutions. That should save a large bundle.

Funny! The last time we had a "balanced" budget was under Clinton and LBJ! Both Liberals! Oh by the way no Republican in a "red" state is going to chop off SS or Medicare either! They will get voted out of office!
