Amazing, how many knee jerk responses here by people who obviously didn't watch the videos or read the article.

Before you liberals reply again I suggest you read the above article and watch the attached videos.
What a load of selectively edited, quote-mined BS. MASH had an anti-war message? No sh.t, Sherlock. Yet somehow Shapiro forgot to talk to the producers of "24", didn't he? Probably slipped his mind, busy man.

Hollywood worships at the altar of the dollar, and if a conservative actor/producer/whatever brings in the audience, they're hired.

What's more, The Industry is quite happy to provide facilities and expertise for cash on the barrelhead. There's no lack of vanity projects, and some of those are definitely of a conservative bend. It's just that Expelled, An American Carol, Atlas Shrugged etc. tend to be stinkers at the box office.

Oh, and as for choice and changing the channel, that works for educated adults but not for kids whose putty like minds are ready for molding.
How about the party of personal responsibility taking some personal responsibility for what their kids are watching ? I know that "gays are people, too" or "nice people share" are messages that may upset the delicate budding conservative mind, but if you can't be bothered to keep an eye on your kid's TV consumption, the problem really is yours.

LMAO!!! I forgot about "An American Carol" all the right wing pundits sung its praise and it totally BOMBED.

Americans are FAR from "brainwashed"

An American Carol was strongly advertised by notable Republicans and conservative personalities such as Rush Limbaugh,[9] Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Mark Levin. On October 3, 2008, actors Kevin Farley and Kelsey Grammer appeared on the Fox News program The O'Reilly Factor to promote their film, in which show host Bill O'Reilly made a guest appearance. An American Carol has also been described by newspapers such as the Dallas Morning News as being "for the right wing".[10] The American Conservative reported, "The movie has been promoted by bloggers on National Review Online. The Leadership Institute, an activist group that maintains contact with College Republicans nationwide, urged its charges to see the movie on opening weekend, even handing out tickets to its interns."

BUDGET: 20 million

GROSS REVENUE: ~7 MILLION

So it LOST 13 Million dollars...

Nobody is PUSHING anything, Americans just don't like right wing crap.

agenda really is a conspiracy word for "point of view" that's why the liberal side of things is demonized as an "agenda" rather than just a point of view. Nothing forces someone to agree with something.. they agree because it makes sense to them...
Then why did Obama's people in the NEA ask them to push his agenda?

"'I would encourage you to pick something, whether it’s health care, education, the environment, you know, there’s four key areas that the corporation has identified as the areas of service,' Sergant told artists on the call, which he reportedly invited some of them to attend. 'My ask would be to apply artistic, you know, your artistic creative communities utilities and bring them to the table,' he said."

"The White House has sought to downplay the story, which has gotten little mainstream media attention, despite heavy coverage on the right."

NEA communications director resigns - Ben Smith - POLITICO.com

Sergant had to resign over it.

"...it felt to me that by providing issues as a cynosure for inspiration to a handpicked arts group – a group that played a key role in the President’s election as mentioned throughout the conference call – the National Endowment for the Arts was steering the art community toward creating art on the very issues that are currently under contentious national debate; those being health care reform and cap-and-trade legislation...We were encouraged to bring the same sense of enthusiasm to these “focus areas†as we had brought to Obama’s presidential campaign, and we were encouraged to create art and art initiatives that brought awareness to these issues. Throughout the conversation, we were reminded of our ability as artists and art professionals to “shape the lives†of those around us. The now famous Obama “Hope†poster, created by artist Shepard Fairey and promoted by many of those on the phone call, and will.i.am’s “Yes We Can†song and music video were presented as shining examples of our group’s clear role in the election."

That's funny.

Here's the list

ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CNBC, MSNBC, NY Times, Wash Post, Wash. Times, LA Times, Chicago Tribune

How many of these "push" a conservative view? Maybe 2?

Hollywood makes fun of many things. Why would anyone be surprised they take advantage of easy targets, the Right Wingers.

Can't say I'm surprised. I have been watching less and less TV as I get older, but am happy to see them caught red-handed admitting they have a radical agenda to spread as much of their loathsome, bigoted, hateful, anti-American, anti-white Christian propaganda as they can get away with-

Conservative Actors Reveal Life of Secrecy, Lost Jobs Amidst 'Intolerant Left'
Acting veterans Clint Howard and Morgan Brittany talk about 'coming out' in their Republican views, and how it caused one famous co-star to turn his back.
"CSI" exploits Justin Beiber, using teen idol to spread propaganda and smear the Tea Party.

Thankfully, many intelligent Americans are seeing for themselves the harmful effects of liberal Hollyweird's promotion of the perverted, decadent, drug- and sex-infused, shallow lifestyles delivered to middle America as "normal behavior" and are turning off the TV in droves.

It's like that recent article which asked, 'Why do we allow our girls to dress like tramps'? Well, stop letting the TV babysit your kids and gaylib Hollywood won't have the power to turn your kids into a pedophiles' dream of 10-year-old tramps, whores, and go-go boys.

less religious influences have made way for more progressive points of view. People still have the ability to agree with something or not. What makes you against it and hate it? because everyone else agrees with it and it's influencing public policy and the like? and you wish more people would see it the way you do? Would you go so far as to call it brainwashing? if so.. how?
Do you even know what a Progressive is and what their planks are?

If only we could "turn off" our public schools this way!

Oakland school's lessons in gender diversity

Here's what a specialized "Gender Trainer" taught kids at one elementary school in California in a mandatory class:

"..., some boys can act like girls; some girls can have boy body parts; and some biological boys feel like a girl inside their hearts, he said."

"It turns out that there are not just two options," he said.

The real agenda behind schools' anti-bullying curriculum | StarTribune.com

And here's what they are learning in Minnesota:

"In March, Minneapolis Superintendent Bill Green praised "Welcoming Schools" as "a tool to combat bullying, by focusing on diversity, gender stereotyping and name-calling." But the curriculum's underlying social/political agenda leaps from every page."

"Welcoming Schools" has three sections. The first, on "family diversity," drums into kids the idea that "traditional families" are outdated. To emphasize this point, kids in grades 3-5 "act out" being members of nontraditional families, including same-gender-headed families.

K-3 students study words like "lesbian" and "gay," while fourth- and fifth-graders learn "bisexual," "dyke" and "transgender."
