and it has to happen now. That means everything is on the table to be cut. Medicare, social security, defense, all of it. Why don't you understand that you can't spend more money than you take in?

Unfortunately most Republicans don't understand this either (see: Reagan, Bush, HW Bush)

The only candidate to come along in a long time who is actually serious about cutting spending is RON PAUL

Fortunately, most Republicans in Congress want to put an end to it now. Better now then never IMO

I laughed at Ron Paul people in the past , but not now . We can't go with a "no military spending " president for ever , but we can for the next 8 years.

" Ron Paul , the only one you can trust to stop the spending "

I like that slogan , I just made it up *, I think it a winner !

*Or heard it and forgot and think I did.

Medicare is fine.

Out of control medical costs are the problem. Once we fix that everything else will fall into line.

So you propose price ceilings which would cause a shortage? I propose people start taking care of themselves, first.

They want to put an end to it IF it doesn't affect their own personal interests, Boehner's support of a wasteful engine program being a perfect example. I can hardly wait to hear Bachmann calling for the end of farm subsidies

Who said anything about price ceilings?

My FIRST step would be tort reform so doctors don't have to perform a million tests on me if I go in with a cold so they can cover their ass from a lawsuit in case my cough is actually Bubonic Plague.

We have the HIGHEST medical costs of any industrialized country and it damn sure aint because our doctors are so much better.

Most republicans in congress have been saying that for decades.

It is still around?

The baby boomer voters are too strong-- it will be around until we can elect a candidate who believes in liberty. Someone like Ron Paul to the presidency.

Ron Paul is one of only 2 congressmen who refuse to take a government pension. He actually follows his principles.
