Not sure I ever took it as 'a ride to warn the Brits'. As I understand, he rode to alarm local citizens, was captured and explained himself. Call it alarm, call it consulting. The rest is history.

The guns and bells were those local citizens participating in the alarm. Now, git yer thong back on.

Don't you guys ever come up with anything new?

It's like you guys have "Obama once said 57 states" programmed as an auto-response to deflect any time a Republican says something ignorant. It makes those posters who do so seem desperate and lacking in creativity. Can you really not come up with anything better than an oral gaffe made on the campaign trail in some impromptu remarks almost three years ago?

How about:
Quote:
"We find unity in our incredible diversity, drawing on the promise enshrined in our Constitution: the notion that we're all created equal; ..."

Source: Obama's State of the Union Speech, January 27, 2010
Only problem is it is within the Declaration of Independence where that "notion" is enshrined, not the US Constitution. And they have the audacity to claim he is a "constitutional scholar?"

You cannot dismiss this one as a mere slip of the tongue either. Everyone who participated in the construction of the speech and all those who reviewed the speech also overlooked the same glaring error. Obama's entire staff are complete idiots.

Boehner made the same mistake:

Quote:
House Minority Leader John Boehner was fired up and ready to go at the Tea Party rally today.

He even held up his pocket copy of the Constitution, pledging to "stand here with our Founding Fathers, who wrote in the pre-amble: 'We hold these truths to be self evident ..."

Oops.

That would be the opening lines of the Declaration of Independence that he's reading.

One can twist her total word-salad statement to try to make it sound correct, but it isn't:
Quote:
"He who warned, uh, the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed."
Palin stated Revere "rang bells and fired shots," he did not. One also does not "send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed." Warning shots and bells do not speak.

Once more, the Palin statement was mere word salad and she shouldn't be followed around and given airtime as she's unworthy as the guy who ran on the "rent is too damn high" Party.

And Lexington and Concord is in New Hampshire, right?

Maybe you should read the article. The sensationalist headline simply supports what most of us have been saying all along: that Revere warned the colonists, then was captured briefly by the Brits and warned them the colonists were armed. He did not embark on his ride to warn the Brits of anything.

You people are downright nuts. You are just looking for something that isn't there, so you are going to twist it until it resembles something that can be used as propaganda. Have you ever thought of the possibility you are being too literal with this?
