Whole milk is healthier for young children. I don't know about school-aged children. But where did you get your Wheaties information? Wait.... what? Fat helps you digest sugar? Never heard that one, before.

The reason skim milk has more sugar than whole milk is the lack of fat. If there is no fat to take up space, there is more room for all the other nutrients in the same volume. Stick with the skim milk - you get all the good nutrients with minimal calories and no fat.
