From the OP's link...this is what we are being told..this one sentence is used to justify our broadening war against terror..FEAR folks. Plain and simple. If you don't let them do this the boogeyman will fly to the US and BLOW YOU UP.

From OP's link:
"Al Qaeda’s affiliate in Yemen is believed by the C.I.A. to pose the greatest immediate threat to the United States, more so than even Qaeda’s senior leadership believed to be hiding in Pakistan."

i do.

i don't know who appointed him the world's cop, to decide which civilians get droned and which do not.

i see he is also secretly (what the hell happened to mr. transparency) trying to negotiate a PERMANENT stay in afghanistan:

he is spending our money like a drunk sailor, with my apologies to the drunk sailors of the world.

I know they grow coffee in Yemen and assume they also grow opium but I did not realize they were sitting on a giant pool of oil. All of our recent, and not a few of our past, wars have been to protect the international petroleum cartels from the threat of competition so Yemen must have oil.

If protecting the oil industry is not sufficient reason to attack Yemen then increasing the supply of terrorists must be the reason. Our military/industrial/Congressional complex has made a huge amount of money by continuing to frighten Americans with the threat of terrorism. This complex has no intention of reducing terrorism because that would derail the gravy train. They cannot let that happen so they expand our attacks in "terrorists" in order to keep the supply adequate to provide a barely credible threat. This complex is powerful enough to operate without Presidential or Congregational approval. We are no longer the cops of the world; we are the thugs of the world.

Yes there are few principled libertarians but they are out numbered.

Most likely the real reason they start these threads is that's it's a slow news day and FOX hasn't given them a timely "outrage of the day" to talk about.

They have no credibility. They throw whatever they can find against Obama regardless of whether they agree with his actions or not.
Man, you are really stretching it today. Must have the BIG shield of protection out for obama today....

i think this is one area where liberals and conservatives can agree. i also think we can agree that we aren't actually WINNING anything.....

we don't need to be involved in military aggression around the world when we have serious problems at home. we need to keep taxpayer spending HERE, to help our citizens out and grow our job base again.

we have the advantage of being halfway around the world, away from all the fighting, if we just choose to be.

there was fighting before us, and there will be fighting after we are gone. that is the way the world works, and many countries have internal struggles which are not our business.

As for Yemen, this comes as a complete shock. I have been beside myself about our involvement in Libya, with Congress standing idle. Now I find out we are bombing Yemen too. This is insane. How can this be happening in secret, is that even possible? Where is this money coming from?
I have been asking why we are still in Iraq and Afghanistan. I cannot believe a supposed liberal is getting away with this. When did this country turn into a totalitarian regime?
We have been hitting targets in Yemen since 2002, so if this is new to you, then you have not been following.

Where does the money come from? Quite obviously it comes from the military budget .
