Does the Government have ANY business involving itself in the abortion issue?

Depends on your perspective. If you believe a fetus is a life, abortion is murder. Clearly the government has a compelling interest to prevent murder.

Why, because you believe states will outlaw it? If you believe as I do that a what goes on inside a woman's body is the business of no government then why should it matter whether is it the Federal government, the state, or the city?

I don't think the government should be funding it. I still consider myself pro-choice.

No.

And if anti-abortion forces truly wanted to lower the abortion rate they would would three things. As Europe does with 1/3 the abortion rate.

1 Enact universal health care.
2. Make birth control free and available to all teenagers
3. Provide real sex eduction in Jr. High on up.

This would truly lower the rate.

But the right doesn't want that really....they love the ego boost from pointing fingers and being religious scolds.

It's not cut and dry. Being pro-choice or pro-life still has a lot of wiggle room with most people. There are so many exceptions to each rule, that I no longer see that the two terms are even adequate.

I believe a child has the same rights inside a fetus as outside.

No they don't, and when you call them out on it they feign morals and God and every other inconceivable thing they can muster. They don't want to decrease the number of unwanted pregnancies. They want to control women. F that.

Most of these MEN, and yes, most but not all, of the truly stauch anti-abortion freaks are men. This is why I believe it really isn't about 'killing babies', it's about control.

Plus, if a man got pregnant and had to give birth everytime his woman did then there would only be two kids.

If you want an abortion, get one. If you don't like abortions, don't get one.

Its just that simple.

Legal or not, women are going to have abortions with no regulations. 8 month fetuses could be aborted, and young girls will be butchered by back room hacks.
