Yes, your bigotry clouds your judgment. Your assertions, based on your bigotry, are wrong, because they should be based on reason and facts. The fact that you make unfounded assertions on these threads means that the people who rebut your remarks are wasting their time. You have abandoned reason and facts. It's like arguing with someone who says that jelly beans aren't candy, and wants to make sand angels instead of conversation.

A dangerous idea. That kind of default distrust of some groups of society only leads to increased tensions and hostilities.
Muslims who manage to get the support of the majority are usually quite educated, not radicals.
Apart from that, if a Muslim had evil intentions they would not hesitate to lie under oath. If I am not mistaken, there is even something in the Koran saying lying is ok if it serves to protect Islam.

And you wouldn't find this to be a problem with a government official in that sort of capacity?

Violating the Constitution isn't upholding the Constitution. No way, no how. Only in la-la-land where star cleaners climb very tall ladders to polish stars and moonbeams.

He was making a subtle point.

When black people are/were discriminated against because of their color, it is/was wrong.

When Islamic people are discriminated against because of their religion, it is equally wrong.

Of course it would be a problem. But an additional oath wouldn't change anything about it. The only solution would be to ban Muslims from such offices entirely, but I hope nobody really wants that...

Because Christians never lie?

Please draw your attention to any political section of any broadcast or newspaper or other news source. Edwards indicted. Weiner in deep trouble. Gingrich and Giuliani both Presidential hopefuls with a serious problem with the women demographics, because they cheated and lied. Hello???? Anyone home?

You are too trigger happy, how about comprehending the rest of what I wrote. Cain never once said he would not hire someone because of their religion. He said because of their loyalties to another legal and political system. That is NOT discrimination.

He said before he hired them he'd hold them to a different standard. That IS discrimination. You cannot impose an additional condition on a candidate for a position based on their religion.
