Yes, she quit..she left, for the betterment of the state. The unnecessary lawsuits that were being brought against her were costing her state extreme amounts of money. She did not see that it was in the best interests for her state to have pay high dollar amounts to support her. She quit. The state then did not have to cover the costs of the unnecessary lawsuits.

Trying to tell a liberal about doing something for the betterment of someone else, is like trying to talk a hungry croc out of devouring you.

Liberals project the opposite of what they are. They are frauds and pretenders. That is why the entertainment industry is full of them, in significant part.

Actually, the cost of the 18 frivilous ethics complaints came directly out of Sarah Palin's pocket. Those $500,000+ in expenses from January 2009 through July 2009 were not covered by the state. In one case, she paid her private attorney $55,000 in legal fees just to prove the individual filing the ethics complaint was actually a fictious character from a BBC Soap Opera, and therefore not an Alaskan resident and thus not elligible to file a complaint. Considering that her salary as Governor was only $185,000 per year, only a complete idiot would stay at a job that costs them more than five times their salary.

Additionally, she was in court so often that she was unable to do the job the voters had elected her to do. Now if she had been a Democrat, I am absolutely positive that she would have stayed in office. Democrats, after all, are completely devoid of ethics and honor, they only desire power at any cost. However, Gov. Palin believed that the voters of Alaska would be best served if she resigned and allow Lt. Gov. Parnell to lead the state as Governor. It was also the only way to end the frivilous ethics complaints.
