Tell us what you've been saying about the economy, since Obama took office. And, does it give you reasons to point fingers at Obama versus the opportunities if the economy were doing better?

And don't even start talking about hydro-fracking for natural gas. People by the thousands are getting sick and water is being contaminated by hydro-fracking.

Nobody is saying that solor and wind are they entire answer to solving the nation's energy problems by moving forward with them and lessening the dependence on coal, oil and natural gas is a hell of lot better than keeping the status quo.
Exactly! Let's ban coal-mining, stop drilling for oil, tax gas more so everybody buys a Volt. Right? Wait a minute, where are we going to get electricity to charge all those Volts?

We are living in a crumbling, unstable economy, because the republicans were unable to stop 0bama.

During the Bush years. We haven't had a good economy with everyone working since the Clinton years!

What this country needs, in terms of energy usage, is the same thing a great number of people in this country need... trim the fat. We over-consume, WAY WELL FAR BEYOND what we have the resources available for. That is a fact.

Stimulus money was a necessity to address the ills of irresponsible management of this country for years, if not decades. And if it covers up the blood of anybody, it is because otherwise all the downtrodden people would have is open wounds.

Do I get to play again???

Nope, because you are still wrong.

Composition of Congress, by Political Party, 1855

And because you refuse to accept that the economy was not bad during the Clinton years (with a Republican Congressional majority), and further that the economy tanked after the Dems gained control of Congress.

And why can't the free market do it? Why do you think the government should do it by increasing taxes? Why are you in favor of governmental coercion?

Eventually we will have to, and we can start
now, by lifting the prohibition on growing hemp in the
US and growing it for our energy needs.

CRRH's Cannabis Tax Acts (CTA) would comprehensively reform marijuana laws by regulating and taxing adult sales; licensing the cultivation of the drug for sale in adult-only businesses; allowing adults to grow their own and farmers to grow industrial

Hemp seed oil can be used as fuel to drive cars and heat homes because Hemp produces biomass, which can be converted into charcoal for electricity, ethanol, methanol and other sources of fuel. One acre of hemp can produce 10 tons of biomass every four months of growing season. Hemp fuel is the most cost effective and environmentally friendly reusable energy source on the planet, and could potentially make the U.S. less dependent on foreign petroleum.

Hemp seed oil is biodiesel and is three times more productive than any other seed oil crop, and hemp seed oil will run any diesel engine today with no modification.

Hemp seed oil was the primary fuel for automobiles for over 30 years after the invention of the first internal combustion engine.

Entry into the biodiesel market has very low capital entry requirements and is, therefore, not centralized. Among the benefits of using biodiesel:

* Start an economic boom!
* Use vegetable seed oil (biodiesel).
* Run any diesel engine with no engine conversion at all.
* Make biodiesel from hemp, soybean, rapeseed/canola and safflower seed oil.
* Save family farms.
* Return economic control to the people!
* Naturally decentralize wealth.
* Stop global warming.
* Stop A lot of toxic pollution.
* Create a useful byproduct: food.
