I'm not so sure this is a liberal thing as much as it might be a "white" thing?
I live in a very diverse town where being white is not the majority. It is very racially diverse, but not very economically diverse. So, we have a lot of races living together, fairly harmoniously, but we are all sort of in the same economic "lot" so very similar. We seem to be a big mix of liberals and conservatives--actually it seems about 50/50. Other areas around me are less diverse, racially, but I don't think it's due to "white flight". They have the money, it's closer to all the industry, etc. I don't think they mind diversity of the racial type but, let's face it, the economically diverse (which includes me!!) can't afford to live there.
So, do you think that they should have stayed in their diverse community where it was lower income, or do you think it's all about race? And really, you think it's all just liberals, because I see ALL kinds participating in white flight.
Liberals preach diversity only because they know that they can use minorities as a means to achieve their objectives (ie: their votes to pave the way for a socialist "utopia") ... they can push them into welfare programs and basically force them to vote for the liberal progressives to keep the welfare and the entitlements coming. It's disgusting and basically a form of modern day slavery .... made even worse by the fact that the liberals claim to be helping them.
The only people holding down the Black people are not the conservatives like so many claim, but rather the liberals.
I live in a community with the highest percentage of Mexicans and I can say that I have never been exposed to as much racism as I am exposed to it now. The Mexicans have brought their insular and xenophobic culture with them.
I'm wealthier than many of my liberal friends, we were all born and raised in a middle class town on LI. Since they aquired their wealth, they have moved to the most "educated,artsy" community that they could which is predominetly white and Asian. Meanwhile I still live in the same town that I grew up in which has gone somewhat down hill because of diversity. I'll be moving soon because its getting bad, but i noticed my liberal friends high-tailed out of here as soon as they could and very rarely came back. Yet everytime we get together they always bring up diversity, and all the cultural things they do such as Shakespeare in the Park and museums. Why is that?
Well because diversity is for the unwashed masses certainly not them. The only diversity in may liberal enclaves is if their maids are from South America or the Caribbean.
I think people are stuck in the mindset that diversity means 'different races'. Wouldn't diversity simply mean different cultures? One o my good friends is a white south African who has a vastly different mindset than I do and he grew up in a very different culture, but does he not contribute to diversity because he's white??
I've noticed that too the liberals around here live in almost all white communities and have pretty much all white friends, they are hypocrites.
