They did away with rote learning. Most of history is learning names and dates and places along with stories. Now they just get the stories, draw some pictures, watch a movie and call it "good enough".

Education is being marginalized and trivialized. The bar is set at the lowest achiever so there are winners and no losers.

NCLB..lower the bar so that No Child is Left Behind.

^^The article said there was little change in history scores since the early 90s, before NCLB was fully implemented. BTW, it was your buddy Bush who cooked up NCLB, along with Ted Kennedy.

Sarah Palin and Michled Bachman are good examples of people who didn't learn history, back in the 70s and 80s.

The Progressives have been gradually taking over and destroying public education since the 60's. And, yes, Bush contributed to its demise with NCLB.
We need to get rid of the Federal Dept. of Miseducation.
