In the Koran it says to stone the homosexual to death, and some Inmans profess this, why do they get a pass? When you support Palestine then you are supporting there way of life.....

Might come as a surprise to you that many liberal-minded people are NOT single-issue voters. A gay liberal, for instance, will not necessarily view everything through the filter of gay issues.

Also, the Muslim vote is far too small to make or break gay-related legislation in the United States, and so gay people here naturally prefer to focus on groups that are a more potent political threat, such as evangelicals, Mormons and the upper echelons of the Catholic church.

What makes you think that gays give muzzies a "pass " on that? Many do dislike muzzies just for that reason.

Also, last time I checked, Inman was an Anglo-Saxon surname, not a Muslim holy man.

Really? I talk about that all the time. Maybe it's cause I'm gay and the work I do involves a lot of Islamic issues, but I most certainly talk about Islam and homosexuality.

Ah yes. I've heard that old, tired, conservative line many times. It reeks of bitterness and cynicism - as do most Republican complaints these days.

I don't know anyone who gives Muslims "a pass" on gay issues. The reason it's not talked about much is because Muslims are a tiny minority. I also haven't heard of any organized Muslims groups who make being anti-gay their number one priority, but there are many conservative Christian groups who do.

I'm a gay man. I've never given fundamentalist Muslims a pass on how they treat homosexuals. They're among the worst when it comes to human rights and specifically the treatment of homosexuals - right up there with fundamentalist Christians in Uganda who also want to punish homosexuality with death. Intolerant, fundamentalist, authoritarian, theocratic thinking is incredibly destructive. I firmly believe that fundamentalist religion is the greatest threat to mankind.

That said, I grew up just down the street from the largest mosque in Colorado. I went to elementary, middle, and high school with 100s of Muslim kids. I'm friends with a few of them still (I graduated HS in 2000), and none of them care about me being gay. In fact, they're pro-gay rights.

I don't know any gay person who is not aware of the barbarian ways gays are treated in Muslim communities or Muslim societies. Muslims havent exactly targeted the gay community in America yet, but I am sure they will as their numbers grow. They don't get a pass from me, and I might even vote to limit their immigration to this country if the chance arrises because of their violent homophobia.
