That doesn't mean I should make a thread about it.

The US is having a very limited role in this. The French are doing a lot more heavy lifting in Libya. That should tell everyone enough that this is not a big deal.

Were Republicans in power doing this, then the tin foil hat wearing crackpots would be talking about how this is such a great idea.
Just so we are clear, you support unprovoked bombing another nation that is of no threat to the USA?

That IS your position correct?

You know what I don't get? Why do we have to send in the military and their equipment, vehicles and weapons to take out one guy? Isn't that overkill? Just send in some cowboy with a six shooter.

France is about to pull their only carrier out of the conflict because they can't afford it anymore. They were flying I think it was 40% of the sorties off that carrier. Who do you think will step in to fill the void? Belgium? Hell they can't even come together on a name for the mission. France, Brits, Canada and the US all have a different name for it. The US has an amphibious assault ship, an amphibious transport dock and an amphibious command ship in the eleven we got there now. Wonder what theyre for?? I'm sure a carrier group is steaming its way over there right now too.
