Yawn. Spare us the personal attack nonsense, even the democrats are voting against the unions. Face it sweetie - the party for the public union employees is over, so, so over - and the gravy train has stopped.

What more needs to be said? Theses are the most despicable people on earth. They have no sense of proportionality. And no matter how much they apologize, the left is really the lowest of the low.

And what exactly does that have to do with this thread?

When you have unionized lifeguards in super-ritzy Newport Beach, Ca. pulling in $100K per year, and being able to retire at the ripe old age of 50 with 90% of their final year's slary, which can be spiked about as easily as brushing your teeth, then you know that this gravy train needs to be demolished.

Thank goodness for take-no-prinsoners governors like Gov. Christie.

At the same time, Americans are evenly divided over whether state worker unions are generally more helpful or more harmful to their states.

When given a choice, you will find most union members will reject giving unions hundreds of dollars a year of their well earned and needed income.

When is the corporate welfare gravy train scheduled to be "over"? When are the Bush tax cuts for the rich gravy train coming to a halt? When are welfare queens like Bachmann and her farm subsidies going to be over?

There is a movement in America by conservative groups to demonize unions as bad for the country because unions are bad for corporations. Anyone with a pulse knows Republicans are in opposition to anything that threatens the power of corporations, and conservatives protect corporate America at any cost.

One has to wonder if conservatives enjoy weekends off, lunch breaks, and safe working conditions. Without unions, corporations would force employees to work 20 hour days for whatever wage the corporations could get away with, and if workers lived in poverty, so be it. After WWII, the prosperity America enjoyed was because unions aided workers with living wages and bargaining power. With higher wages came more home ownership, tax revenue, and buying power. Union wages also helped build the middle class in America. When conservatives demonize unions, it is to protect corporations, and in effect, destroy the middle class.
Republicans Destroy Middle Class Dreams One Union Bust At a Time

Christie's hypocrisy along with his counterparts is way too obvious and BTW...providing checkable facts is not a personal attack.

Don't call me sweetie, oh brainwashed one.

Awww...the union stooge apologizes...but we know he doesn't mean it.

Unions go on attack at rally over NJ benefits bill - San Antonio Express-News (http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/article/Union-leader-compares-NJ-gov-to-Hitler-at-rally-1427101.php - broken link)

Quote:
Hours after criticism over the remarks starting coming from all directions, Shelton said his comments were inappropriate and he apologized to "the governor and to anyone else I may have offended."

"I think (Christie) is doing the same thing that Scott Walker is doing in Wisconsin," Lee Saunders, secretary-treasurer of AFSCME, told The Associated Press. "It's unacceptable to preclude us from the right to collectively bargain for our rights."
Give the union goon a cookie! He gets it!

The "same" thing? Yes, trying to balance a state budget NOT on the backs of the taxpayer. I'm sorry if you feel you shouldn't pay for YOUR OWN hc and pension......but you see, MOST working Americans not forced to join a union do indeed pay for their own.....probably about ten times more than a union member.

I'd try and explain them to you, but you would not understand.

Stop with the Far left psychotic nonsense about mixing public sector unions with private sector one. The 2 have NOTHING to do with each other, this is solely a public union employee issue.

Really, what facts were those?

You cannot even grasp basic economics, or understand the difference between public and private sector unions - but <I> am the one who is brainwashed? Here's a nickel, go buy a clue sweetie.
