I definitely understand why rich liberals (Soros, Gore, Edwards, etc) are in love with Democrats. But what I don't understand is why joe the plumber's number one priority is to funnel his tax dollars up the food chain to the richest Americans.

Yes, I understand a lot of liberals hate working class Americans, minorities, tax payers, etc, and like to keep them under their Big Government thumb, but is it really worth the economic garbage that goes along with electing Democrats?

It's taken them several decades to wake up and discover that they've been played for suckers for all of their lives.

98% of the wealth is controlled by the top 2%.

I hear people talk about the bottom half of the country not paying income tax all the time. How about they pay about a .005% tax rate because thats how much of the nations wealth they control. The top 2% can pay a 98% tax rate, because thats what they control.

The problem with the American democractic-republic is that less than 40% of the people vote in our elections.

If we even had 50% of the people voting in an election, the country would likely be much more liberal. That could be good, or very bad.

Another thing congress isn't supposed to support a "class" of people they're supposed to represent all the American people. You can argue out both sides of your mouth but if you believe what is being presented by the OP then NONE of them are representing the people. As an example Wisonsin dems weren't voted in to represent just the union folks there but by their running out of the state actions that is what they were doing. They should be voted out immediately for not upholding their duty to the people.

Actually they are supposed to represent the best outcome for their state.

And if your state is made up mostly of one class of person, then that is who you are supposed to represent.
