Cuba actually has great health care, strange as it might seem. Anyway, the way to ensure a better standard of living for the middle class is to protect middle class workers and increase taxes on the rich. And that will also help with the debt problem.

If you had a steady, well paying job, 1934 was not a bad time to live at all.

The problem was that the majority of people in the US and worldwide didn't.

Are you serious?

Maybe you should talk to my friend's family who were/have doctors back in Cuba. No, better yet talk to people in the Canadian congress who come to America for their health care needs. Talk to people who ACTUALLY LIVE in communist countries and you'd be surprised at how insane lengths those people who are complete ignoramuses go to to prove a ridiculous point; case in point, those who think they have a shred of knowledge on Cuban health care systems.

Your statement reminds me of Joe Dresnok. Praising the dear leader and his beneficence on the Korean people. Anyone who actually believes this kook belongs in North Korea worshiping the Dear Leader.

Now regarding the debt. Have you read Obama's healthcare bill? He doesn't care if you don't need certain things in his bill, YOU ARE FORCED to pay for them. Talk about taxing the middle class. Secondly, Obama is making the middle class smaller, NOT larger. Only "rich" people cheating out of their taxes are the crooks in congress. Want to help the debt? Cut the Federal Reserve off, bring ALL our troops back and put them on the border, stop welfare, stop giving benefits to illegals and stop trading debt to China.

The minimum wage (which was pushed by unions to create a lack of competition) screwed many Americans who used to learn how to work on the job.
Welfare zaps ambition or desire to work and we have grown an entitlement minded block of voters that will sink the country IMO.

Most used to work long hours, rent, and were far more self reliant.

The only thing that never made sense to me is if you make 100 dollars a week and the rent is 25 dollars, now today we make 1500 a week, but the rent is 1000, so doesn't it still equate to the same thing, just with bigger figures.

Salaries were cheaper back in the day, so was cost of living, but now we make big salaries but cost of living is expensive, so you are still neither here nor there?????

Actually there IS a sub-minimum wage that can be paid. This argument is false.
