I work with a bunch of conservatives who love Macs. One of them is slightly liberal, but the rest are pretty darn conservative. I hate Macs. Have despised Apple since the 80s.

I lean right/libertarian.

I'm hypothesizing that left-leaning folks tend to Macs, right-leaning folks tend towards Microsoft Windows, and Libertarian types tend towards Linux. Let's see how things shake out.

You know there are some articles about this same subject. The other day, I asked conservatives if they use open source software since open source software is in the lines of socialism. Open source is of the philosophy that no one should have to pay to use software. This ideology is more aligned with liberals than it is to conservatives.

Windows here......with Firefox as my browser.

Who uses Linux? Developers and computer enthusiasts do.

Windows and Macs are for consumers who follow trends.

Is it? I don't hear socialists arguing against the idea of intellectual property, but I've definitely heard volunteerists and libertarians making that argument.

The video is long. Do you mean patents?

Libertarians don't believe software should have patents?

I believe that patents are a form of monopoly which is protected by the government. However, I also think that the primary purpose for people to collectivize is to protect life, liberty and property. I'm still undecided whether that should apply to "intellectual property" so I won't take a stance either way at this point.
