You are already advocating a change in the definition of marriage. In time I do not think it unreasonable to expect to be told that I cannot say publicly from the pulpit that homosexuality is a sin.

Exactly. I'd like somebody to name one gay organization that has spent MILLIONS of dollars to stop a religious group from practicing their faith.

Totally bogus argument.

1) YOUR definition of marriage

2) Slippery slope (logical fallacy) 101

But you're glad her wife is being deported are you not? That's what you advocate for - that what the laws you support do to gay men and women.

You have mistreated me. When you support laws that deny me equal rights, when you advocate for laws that deny me equal rights, when you vote for politicians who support laws that deny me equal rights, and when you vote for laws that deny me equal rights - laws that take 1400 civil rights away from me (while retaining them for yourself) - you sure as hell are mistreating me.

Again, if I somehow was able to pass a law where you live banning Christians from contracting civil marriages - thereby invalidating your marriage and taking away 1400 civil rights from you - you'd be mad as hell at me (and God forbid your wife was from another country because we'd ship her ass out of here). You'd call me a hateful, anti-Christian bigot. You'd be screaming at the top of your lungs about how you were being mistreated.

If your idea of respecting someone is to treat them unequally under the law (mistreat them) and take away their civil rights simply because they have different values, then I want no part of it. You're the one who needs a lesson in respect.

It's so funny, too. When I was at Kentuckiana pride two weekends ago, there were over 10-15 booths from different churches that were quite friendly.

You can say that all you want. I don't care.

Just don't interfere with my marriage, thanks.

And the definition of marriage has already changed time and time again. years ago I couldn't have married my wife for two reasons: one is she is black, and the other is she is female. Now I can't marry her in most places for one reason: she's female. What's the difference between being banned from marrying her based on race vs. based on gender?

Did I say that? I find it sad. If she is here illegally she needs to leave...but I won't rejoice over it (or high five anyone).

My religion is protected by the Constitution. Your relationship is not. Again...I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but I don't have a right to marriage with someone of the same gender either. We are completely equal.

You know, I think the OP might have a point! I'm convinced! In order to prevent the possibility of adults marrying children in 40 years, we should take all homosexuals and force them to go back into the closet, and redouble the efforts to prevent them from receiving any sort of legal recognition for their relationships, and regrow a culture of hate!

I mean, it's the only way we'll be able to prevent the specter of adults marrying children some day decades from now!

Your (once again, very illogical) argument is like going back to the Jim Crow days and telling a black person "You have exactly the same rights I do! You are free to get on the bus too!" (Even though they have to sit back there instead of up front)

Their tax-exempt status should have been taken away decades ago. Hopefully, this will happen during my lifetime.
