In Iowa, her home state. If she can't win Iowa then she's toast. If she can't win South Carolina she's toast.

The problem is that most Americans are not social conservatives. The farther she moves to the Right the more moderate and independents she alienates. Michelle Bachman may win the battle in terms of being the darling of the Social Conservatives but in doing so she'll lose the war in terms of any possibility of being President.

I have never voted for a socialist for President of the US and won't be doing that in 2012 which means that I must vote for somebody other than Obama. I guess there aren't many like me, though. I really do wonder if there aren't many more of them than in 2008. All those promises not fulfilled may cause many of those taken in by them to stay home on election day.

Here are the facts:

1) John Wayne's parents lived in Waterloo, IA following their marriage in 1905 but moved before John was born in 1907.

Duke: We're Glad We Knew You: John ... - Google Books

2) John Wayne was born in Winterset, IA 117.5 miles from Waterloo, IA.

3) John Wayne Gacy was born in Chicago, Il, 244 miles from Waterloo, IA.

4) John Wayne Gacy moved to Waterloo for a brief period of time before being sent to prison.

5) Because they have a chance to mock another conservative female, the left-wing smear machine has decided the only John Wayne who could possibly be from Waterloo, IA is John Wayne Gacy.
Which only proves that both John Wayne and John Wayne Gacy are pretty irrrelevent when it comes to the history or heritage of Waterloo, Iowa. The bottom line is that Michelle Bachman's "John Wayne" reference clearly missed the mark in terms of any factual connection to Waterloo, Iowa.

Find someone who knows the difference between John Wayne and John Wayne Gacy, and we'll talk.

Why the hell can't the GOP find a woman with some basic historical knowledge, or some basic common sense. You guys seem to love to glom onto the talking heads and vapid wonders. Why is that? Oh, yeah, intelligent women scare the pants off you.
You're right. The repubs would never consider an Olympia Snowe, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Jane Norton, Christie Whitman.....

She is far brighter than what sits in the oval office now. At least she knows we have 50 states and funny to watch the clip of the One struggling to come up with 57 states. You forgive so many of his gaffs.

You sure about that? Does she know where the American revolution was fought?

Be honest, if President Obama said something like this or says something like this in the future you will not miss the opportunity to take him to task for it.

OK so you have no issue with the right harping on the fact Obama doesn't know how many states there are? Will Stephanopolous grill him on it as Bachmann was this morning? LOL. not in my life time.
