Jon Stewart?? does anyone really watch his show? He sure showed his true racist self on that one.
You; clearly, do not watch his show if you believe that. Sad how easily people can be manipulated into drawing a conclusion without doing any research themselves. Really speaks to the power of groupthink afflicting our country.
John Stewart is onComedy Central and Glenn Beck is on Fox News.
John Stewart says things to get a laugh, Glenn Beck says things because he wants to instill his backwards ideas.
Either you are kidding yourself, or it's going right over your head. Stewart is also instilling HIS ideas - he's part of the liberal establishment that is united against conservatism. He doesn't do it to get a laugh (though he knows he will because he knows the bobble heads that comprise his audience), he does it to diminish those whom he does not like and who stand for values he does not share. He isn't funny. He's hateful under guise of "funny". Those who don't get it, buy into it.
So much for diversity.
If one has seen and heard Herman Cain and what he had to say about this incident, one would conclude there's more grace and class in Cain's little finger than all of Stewart's punch lines. What a stark contrast.
Yes, it was racist -- none of the excuses hold up.
I'm rather conviced at this point that those who complain about Jon Stewart and his show, and especially this point that he's "racist", have never actually SEEN his show outside of clips shown on idiotic pundit shows.
he's part of the liberal establishment that is united against conservatism.
Considering that Stewart has afforded exceedingly deferential interviews to John McCain, Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul, I find the charge to be a tad bit amusing.
Of the 51 partisan guest that Stewart has had on his show, 25 were Republicans or some flavor of conservatives. Of those 25 guest 16 were Republican political candidates. I suspect that Ron Paul and John McCain have had more airtime on the daily show than most others.
Why is there such a double standard in the media? After all, a “comedian” like Jon Stewart can use a racial “Amos & Andy” voice to mock Herman Cain, while Glenn would be hounded for even hinting at the same kind of thing. And despite the fact that thousands of kids think of him as the only fair name in media, he can hide behind the “comedian” excuse.
“If I am president, treaties will have to fit on the back of a cereal box. From now on the state of the union address will be delivered in the form of a fortune cookie. I am Herman Cain, and I do not like to read,” Stewart said in his best ‘black voice’.
“Al Sharpton would be in the studio right now demanding that we shut down the transmitter of every station,” Pat said of his comments.
Why can Jon Stewart get away with it?

I know it's trendy to play the conservative victim card (even though your ideology dominates our culture), but you're really just showing that you don't watch his show to believe what you do. He's nothing like you think and, no, he's not racist at all.
EDIT: I just watched the clip of Stewart's collection of impersonations and learned that Fox sent a memo to attack Stewart. That's why all these people suddenly have a uniform (and profoundly wrong) opinion about him.
